WiMax service is rolling out to many of the major cities around the US making more and more folks want a PC that can get on the faster mobile network. Notebook users can get dongles for access to WiMax in some service areas, but the best way for those who are on the go a lot is to get WiMax built into their notebooks. Toshiba has announced that it is offering WiMax on two new Portege R700 models.

The models with WiMax include the R700-S1332W and the R700-S1322W. The two machines share the same magnesium chassis, 13.3-inch full HD LED backlit screen, DVD drive and the integrated WiMax modem. Both models weigh about three pounds and are about an inch thick. The machines differ in the hardware on the inside.

The S1332W is the more expensive and higher-end version to get WiMax. The machine has a Core i7 processor inside and stores data to a 128GB SSD. The S1322W uses a Core i5 CPU with a 320GB HDD that spins at 7200rpm. Both of the machines also have 4GB of RAM. The S1332W will sell for $1699, the S1322W will cost $1349, and both are available now.
