The iPad is indeed making its way into a ton of stores in the U.S. lately, and the next jump will be into AT&T and Verizon stores. Both mobile chains will begin carrying the iPad on October 28th.

Due to network incompatibility, Verizon will not be getting a 3G capable iPad. The iPad will come bundled with a Verizon MiFi 2200 portable hotspot. Prices will be $630 for a 16GB model, $730 for a 32GB model, and $830 for a 64GB model. The no-commitment 1GB data plan will run $20 a month. Over at AT&T, The 3G iPads will be sold at the usual retail prices of $629, $729, and $829 for the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions. The standard no-commitment 250MB and 2GB data plans for $15 and $25 per month will apply to the iPad as well.
