Verizon's tiered data plan has been in the works for some time now, but nothing official had been put together. Engadget has been tipped from the inside that it will officially be put into place on October 28th, and will have a few differences from AT&T's plan.
The big news is that there will be an unlimited data plan for smartphone owners that will run $30 a month. A 150MB plan for $15 will be available, as well as a $1.99/mb "pay as you go" option for "feature" phone owners. 4G plans were not discussed; these are all 3G options.
