Barnes and Noble event next week most likely centered around Nook Color
Barnes and Noble has a special event planned for next week, and everything is pointing towards a full color version of the Nook e-reader. The current version has a split e-paper and LCD interface.

The seven inch device will run a version of Android, but no one is really sure where this device will exactly fall between e-reader and full blown tablet. Tablet functions will both differentiate it from Amazon's highly popular Kindle as well as make the $249 price tag a lot more attractive for those who don't want to shell out for an iPad or Galaxy Tab. Barnes and Noble is officially staying fairly close-mouthed with the details, but we'll find out soon enough what the Nook Color is really all about.
