RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook hits the scene at Adobe MAX
The BlackBerry PlayBook got some serious facetime at Adobe's MAX conference today. RIM and Adobe teamed up to announce an Adobe AIR SDK for the PlayBook platform with hardware integration that will give developers plenty to work with before the launch of the PlayBook next year. A fully functional PlayBook took center stage; something RIM didn't even pull off at their own event.

Being a developer on this platform is looking to be a fairly nice affair; companies like Kobo were on hand to talk about the ease of development for the PlayBook platform and RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis announced at the conference that all developers that create PlayBook apps that are approved into App World will receive a free PlayBook of their very own. That's a pretty sweet incentive to get the tablet off and running at launch.
