Windows 7 & Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Release Candidate
Microsoft have released SP1 for both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 to the public.

After being in the obvious beta availability, they have finally entered RTM (Release to Manufacturing).
As for whether you'll benefit from SP1? Well, if you're a user of Windows Server 2008 R2, the only new features for you will be, related virtualization technologies, Dynamic Memory and Remote FX.
Those who are using Windows 7, with SP1 you will be able to take advantage of these server-based features to provide a more scalable and richer VDI experience - there are no other additional new features for Windows 7. Boo hoo.
