Multiple WebOS devices being manufactured by Foxconn

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Oct 28, 2010 2:03 am

WebOS, looking to make a comeback after the acquisition by HP, may be doing that by teaming up with Foxconn and Compal Communications. These two companies are said to be currently manufacturing "multiple WebOS devices," including the PalmPad.

Sources state that "Palm's new smartphones manufactured by Foxconn and Compal Communications will all adopt the brand's Linux-based mobile operating system, WebOS, which will more or less allow the two suppliers to gain manufacturing familiarity with Palm's Pre Plus and Pixi Plus phones." It looks like the Palm name won't be disappearing anytime soon, regardless of their HP ownership.
