Flash to HTML 5 conversion tool in the works from Adobe

By: (more) | Software News | Posted: Oct 28, 2010 11:17 pm

HTML 5 is coming, and Adobe has made it clear that they are doing everything they can to make Flash play as nicely with HTML 5 as possible. At their MAX conference, Adobe gave a live demo of the Flash to HTML 5 conversion tool that they have in the works.

This isn't the first tool to bridge the gap between Adobe products and HTML 5; there are already plugins available for Illustrator 5 and Dreamweaver CS5. This new tool doesn't jusr support the animations themselves but the elements inside. This allows the content to be viewed to be viewed on nearly every platform, including the decidedly Flash-unfriendly iPhone and iPad. This would definitely give Flash a leg up on being compatible, albeit indirectly, with platforms like iOS. Check out the demo video after the break.
