ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for 11 and 13-inch MacBook Air ships

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Oct 29, 2010 4:04 pm

Once up on a time I bought a MacBook and used it for a few weeks before deciding, I was a Windows man through and through and selling the thing on eBay for more than I paid proving that some fan boys will pay anything to win an auction. I had the Zagg invisibleSHIELD film on that MacBook to keep it from getting all scratched up and I use the film on my iPhone as well.

The stuff is really cool because it's clear, you can't really even tell it's on the notebook or your smartphone if you do a good job with the install. The film is also tough, it's nearly impossible to cut the stuff, even purposefully with a knife. The film Zagg uses was designed to protect helicopter rotor blades for the military.

Zagg has announced that geeks that bought one of the new and undeniably sexy MacBook air notebooks that debuted recently can now get the protective film sized specifically to fit those machines. The film starts at about $60 and is ready to ship right now. Installation is easy enough and uses a wet process and the film includes a squeegee and the liquid for install.
