While I was reading over at AMD Zone I noticed a story over at Digitimes which is reporting that Albatron's (a new motherboard manufacturer founded by the founder of Gigabyte) new KX400+ motherboard which uses the VIA KT333 chipset has unofficial DDR-400 support via overclocking through the motherboard's BIOS.

I met with Albatron during Computex and it looks as if they have a few promising products on the way, and also the investment backing. They have entered a very competitive market place, it will be interesting to see how they go. While their company naming convention is questionable (take the "Alba" from albatross and "Tron" from electronics and you hav Albatron, a company which keeps on flying through anything...), it looks as if they are wanting to make a splash in the industry. We have a KX400+ motherboard on its way from Albatron and will have a review for you before much longer.
