Panasonic jumping on the Android smartphone bandwagon in 2011
Panasonic is admittedly late to the smartphone party, but they are looking to change that soon. Osamu Waki, the head of Panasonic's mobile division, spoke today at a news conference and announced that Panasonic will start rolling out Android based phones in Japan sometime in 2011 and hit the rest of the world with them by 2012.

According to Waki, Panasonic "misjudged the speed at which smartphones would be taken up in the Japanese market." There weren't a whole lot of details on exact models or specs; only Waki's statement that "with the rapid shift to Android, we want to catch up quickly."
