Mozilla's AdBlock Plus becomes first add-on with 100 million downloads
Firefox is well known for the tons of options when it comes to add-ons to personalize your browsing. The king of the mountain when it comes to add-ons is AdBlock Plus, which developer Wladimir Palant is getting ready to announce has reached the 100 million download mark. The concept is simple: block online ads and prevent tracking by marketing programs.

Palant, who has been able to recently quit his full time job and work on ABP full time due to an anonymous grant, has reached the record number of installs for a browser app that has over 12 million active users every day. It's quite a feat and makes sense for those who want a simpler browsing experience free of the annoyances that audio and fading full page ads can provide. Just remember to put TweakTown on your whitelist, okay? Our ads are very user friendly, tech-centric, and helps to pay the bills.
