Android's Gingerbread may include a revamped Market

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Nov 19, 2010 6:06 am

The Android 2.3/3.0/456.78 Gingerbread rumor mill has really been pumping lately. Although Google themselves have stayed relatively mum on even what the version number will be, leaks galore are seeping out. The latest? A mass overhaul of the Android Market.

This app submission screenshot above found by Android Police New fields shown include the ability to upload higher res icons, a 1024x500 high-res "feature graphic," and the ability to upload up to eight screenshots as well as a YouTube promo video. These features look to be targeted at larger devices like tablets and internet connected TVs, where current features seem a bit stretched on larger platforms. Hopefully Google hooks us up soon with some official info so that we don't have to get our Gingerbread info one crumb at a time.
