NVIDIA shows the benefits of multi-core processors for smartphones and tablets

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Dec 8, 2010 12:43 am

NVIDIA is on a roll right now, 2 'new' GPU's out - currently owning up the GPU world with their 5 series and now they're touting the benefits of their multi-core processors for mobile devices.

There's talk of Tegra 2 which is now shipping for tablets and also appearing in some smartphones. NVIDIA are putting their foot firmly on the ground and saying that dual-core processors will be "the standard" for 2011.

Smartphones and Tablets will obviously benefit from this and NVIDIA have even said that quad-core will be coming "in the near future". We can see smartphones and tablets are becoming the new 'in-thing' and NVIDIA want to be at the center of it all.
