AMD Radeon 6970 shots and 3DMark 11 score

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: Dec 14, 2010 12:33 am

A lucky (insert expletive here) from hardwareluxx.de forum has gotten hold of a Radeon HD6970 and to not only tease the world with photos but has also posted some early benchmark scores.

As you can see from the shot, the 6970 retains the dual-slot design with blower-style fan and requires 1 x 8pin and 1 x 6pin PCI-Express power connector. One of the surprises is the little switch that can be seen near the two Crossfire connectors.

The user posted some 3DMark 11 scores, using a Phenom II X6 1055T CPU and the HD6970 he scored P4939.
