Activision has said that Call of Duty: Black Ops has surpassed even Modern Warfare 2 in sales and has to date surpassed $1 billion in sales across all platforms.

Black Ops gamers have collectively played 600 million hours played since release. Bobby Kotick has also come out and said:

Our ability to provide the most compelling, immersive entertainment experience, and enhance it with regular, recurring content that delivers hundreds of hours of audience value, has allowed Call of Duty to continue to set sales and usage records."

COD: Black Ops first DLC "First Strike" is set for release on Xbox Live, Feb 1, 2011. It includes four new multiplayer maps and a new Zombie map called Ascension. No word on PC/PS3 releases.
