Find my iPhone PSA: Use Safari if you're not on Snow Leopard
Find my iPhone is a feature that many iPhone owners find very useful if their precious device falls victim to either thieves or flat out forgetfulness. A columnist for dealnews found a funky problem with the now free feature to track down his iPhone that had been stolen at a coffee shop: it didn't work in Google Chrome.

Apparently the problem isn't with Chrome; Find my iPhone plays nicely with Google's browser under one condition: you're running OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). If you're running an earlier version of OS X, you have to use Safari. Otherwise, you ger a blue screen stating "Find My iPhone is unavailable due to a connection error." This may not be a problem a whole lot of you will face, but panic in the face of a lost iPhone is no laughing matter.
