Sony offers new custom build VAIO S notebooks

When it comes to buying a notebook Sony has a wide range of offerings that are typically known as decent machines with high-prices. One of the things that Sony isn't known for is offering the buyer a lot of customization offerings. Generally, its notebooks come pre-configured and the buyer just opts for whatever they like best.

Sony has announced that buyers can now custom configure the Sony VAIO S notebook on the Sony Style website. The VAIO S offers a 13.3-inch screen and is about an inch think with a weight of a bit more than four pounds. The configuration options range from different processors and storage as well as customizable RAM and a backlit keyboard options.

 

The processors for the machine are up to an Intel Core i5-580M, the machine can be fitted with up to a 256GB SSD, and it will hold up to 8GB of RAM. An optional Blu-ray player is available and it can be fitted with a GeForce graphics card and Windows 7 Pro. When fitted with Intel graphics, the machine is also Wi-Di compatible for streaming media to the TV. Prices for the machine start at $874.99.
