Minecraft passes the 1 million mark in sales
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAMinecraft is something I've personally never gotten into but it's good to see an indie game reach an amazing 1 million in sales! Especially if you consider the game is still in beta status and people purchased it even in alpha form.
In it's alpha stage the developers were charging €10 for a copy where the price has increased to €15 for the beta. The final game will cost €20. For Minecraft to have reached 1 million in sales before the final release, it's an amazing achievement, especially when it has relatively basic graphics and it isn't another FPS.
Is this the future of gaming? Smaller purchases for non-traditional type gaming?
