Iiyama is hoping to bring 30" monitor prices down

KitGuru have put on their investigative-gear and put an article up regarding 30-inch screens. It's a great read and talks about breaking the "30-inch price control cartel". The number of places producing 30" panels? Numero uno.

The article goes into detail of how 30-inch screen have not really dropped in price over the years with smaller screens seeing absolutely huge changes in pricing. A 23 or 24-inch screen can be had for under $250 without a problem.

This would benefit the community in a big way, on one hand we get bigger screens with much higher resolutions, cheaper. Secondly, we might see a change in quality from the 60Hz limitation, to 120Hz with the help of DisplayPort technology.

Give it a read and cross your fingers that 30-inch panels drop in price, I'll take 3 at under $1k each thanks!
