Silver Bullet flash drive from AMP won't get you drunk

By: (more) | Storage News | Posted: Jan 18, 2011 4:16 pm

Flash drives are one of those things that are so common today that most of us have a bunch of them lying around that we use when needed. There are a lot of folks out there that like to collect flash drives, especially of the novelty variety that Active Media Products is famous for. The company has unveiled a new larger-than-life .22 caliber silver bullet flash drive.

The drive looks like a .22 bullet with a silver colored case. The flash drive is much larger than a tiny .22 though with dimensions of 2.6" x 0.6". Like all flash drives, most computers won't need drivers to use the storage device. It will work on USB 2.1 and 1.1 ports on Mac and PC computers.

The drive is plug-and-play capable and has a metal case that is rugged and shock resistant. The case also has a rubber seal that keeps water from getting to the storage media inside the bullet case. You can order the Silver Bullet USB Drive on Amazon right now with a 4GB version for $13.95 and an 8GB version for $20.95.
