SanDisk is huge in the flash storage market with all manner of flash drives and memory cards for digital cameras and other devices. When it comes to shooting lots of high-resolution images in fast bursts using high-end DSLR cameras a slow memory card will really mess things up for the camera user. SanDisk has announced a new memory card that promises to be fast and deliver all the speed that people with fancy cameras need.

The new memory card from SanDisk is called the Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-I and it promises up to 45MB/sec read and write speeds. The specification also cause for a minimum of 10MB/s continuous write speed. To take advantage of the speed the card offers the user needs to be shooting with a UHS-enabled Digital camera like the Nikon D7000.

The video card will also work well for writing large file size HD video and even 3D video according to SanDisk. The card uses a proprietary Power Core controller to hit the fast speeds it is capable of. The cards will be offering 8GB to 32GB capacities with prices ranging from $109.99 to $349.99 and they are available right now.
