Radeon HD 6990 Antilles spotted
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAAMD's Matt Skynner has teased the world with the upcoming dual-GPU based Radeon HD6990. The HD6990 codenamed "Antilles" will feature two 40nm "Cayman" GPU's.
Although this one will be a different style of card compared to the HD5970 in the way that it uses a cylindrical blower (like the ones used in air-conditioners) to draw air from the rear portion of the cooler, circulate the air through the complex vapour-chamber enhanced heatsink inside.
The card looks to use two 8-pin PCI-e power connectors, expect this bad boy in the first quarter of this year.
