USB flash drives from Bader Models give your notebook wings

By: (more) | Storage News | Posted: Jan 28, 2011 6:00 pm

Your notebook doesn't need any Red Bull to give it wings. All it needs are these odd little wing flash drives from a company called Bader Models. The things have the normal USB port on the side and honestly, they aren't really wings, but tailfins from commercial aircraft.

The tailfin has the logos and colors of the companies they represent on them. This would be the perfect thing for the pilot that needs some storage to take on the go. Geeks that like to collect odd flash drives will also appreciate these things.

The draw here is the novelty more than anything, and as such, the company offers no indication of what sort of tech is inside. You can bet they use the slowest and cheapest tech around and be safe. Each of the tailfins measures about 2-inches tall. You can get them in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities. Prices are $53, $63, $79, and $120 respectively.
