Sonos unveils new Android app for controlling music systems
People that are really into music like to have tunes everywhere they go inside the home and outside. Many users take advantage of whole home audio inside their homes so they can get all the music they have stored on their computer in any room they happen to be in. One of the more popular systems for whole home audio is Sonos.

Sonos has announced today that it has launched a new Android controller app. The app allows Android smartphone users to control the Sonos S5 system in any room using their smartphone. The app allows the person to access and play any tracks they want from the web or their personal music library on any of the Sonos systems in the home using WiFi.
The controller will also allow the user to play the same song on each Sonos device in the house or play different tracks on each device. The Sonos controller will work on any Android 2.1 or later handset as long as the screen is HVGA 320 x 480, WVGA 480 x 800 or WVGA 480 x 854.
