Road To The Highest 3DMark Score II

By: (more) | Posted: Jul 23, 2002 6:45 am

This is insane. The guys from VR-Zone were able to obtain a 3DMark2001 SE score of over 17,000 by voltage modding processor, motherboard and graphics cards to some extreme speeds. This stuff rocks!

VR-Zone has a article up on how to get the highest 3DMark2001SE score out of your current system and set the world record 17230 3dmarks! An ASUS P4T533-C i850E motherboard and MSI GeForce4 Ti4600 graphics card were used and modified to increase the voltages for better overclockability. Instead of conventional cooling, LN2 cooling was employed to the CPU and GPU to push their frequencies much higher than default.
