OCZ's Vertex Pro 3 is set to put the SSD market on fire by offering a blazing 550MB/sec maximum read and 500MB/sec maximum write speeds. This speed is attained by OCZ using the new SandForce SD-2500 controller which it sports.

The SSD has been tested by a bunch of sites today and it's mostly the same conclusion - this is the shiznit. Anandtech even says it's "the first drive that really needs a 6Gbps interface." The drive isn't available yet and the hardware included is not final, but once it hits retail it's sure to shake things up considerably!
