Radeon HD 6990 spotted, Red Cross calls for donations due to sudden blood rush to organs worldwide

March is building up to be quite the month for GPU releases with both NVIDIA and AMD releasing dual-GPU based cards to impress the world. Because of CeBIT, AMD and NVIDIA partners have had the opportunity to show off their enthusiast level cards.

Sapphire has stepped up to the plate by showing off a dual Cayman-based Radeon HD 6990. Judging from the above shot, we can see the GD 6990 uses dual 8-pin power and is capable of consuming 300W of power. On the shot below we can see that it will include four DisplayPort connectors and a single DVI connector. For extra monitor support, you'll require the soon to be released DisplayPort v1.2 splitter.

Not long until we get the usual "Can it play Crysis jokes". I've left them out because it's no longer 2007, also, Crysis 2 is a console port so it won't be so balls heavy on your system.
