Angry Birds Gets Political Satire Treatment

YouTube user egorzhun has re-imagined Rovio's popular mobile game Angry Birds as a political farce, touching on recent geo-political events as lightly as a Bomb Bird on a concrete wall.

The short video uses audio from the famous Disney short, "The Three Little Pigs"- and features similarities to the nostalgically poor-quality cartoons of "back in the day."

The story features satirical representations of Tunisian Ex-President Ben Ali, the now deposed "President" Mubarak of Egypt, and everyone's favorite dictator to lampoon, Omar Gaddafi of Libya- all of whose houses get destroyed by reduplicating (re: retweeting) Twitter birds (and a couple of other familiar faces as well). If you wanted to catch up on either Angry Birds or the state of affairs in the Middle East, well...you're probably out of luck. But if you're in the slightest familiar with either of them, you'll probably enjoy the clip.

This is not the first time that someone has creatively framed Angry Birds in a political context- the clip below contextualizes the swine vs. fowl struggle suspiciously similar to the Arab-Israeli conflict. NFSW (language).
