Battlefield 3 set to receive a $100 million ad campaign, marketing execs prepared for when Duty Calls
Battlefield 3 is 6 months from release but that isn't stopping EA and DICE from being proud of their jewel of a game. EA CEO John Riccitiello spoke at an ad conference in New York where he has revealed that Battlefield 3 will have a $100 million ad campaign.

Obviously this is to fight against the obvious Modern Warfare 3 that will come out at the end of the year, but I have massive doubts about that game. It won't have a state of the art engine to run on like Battlefield 3 will for one. Secondly, Battlefield 3 is moving on and upgrading virtually all assets in the game where MW3 will most likely run on a previous-gen engine like the previous COD titles.
EA are obviously hoping for a winner with Battlefield 3 and from the footage I've seen, I really think they've got a chance to become the FPS title that every other studio is jealous of. Funnily enough, it'll most likely get referred to as the next 'Call of Duty'.
