Hey everybody, remember when that Sonic the Hedgehog trailer leaked recently? Well it's here, according to SEGA's blog post today.

The new game reunites classic 1991 Sonic with his modern-day counterpart, in true campy time-traveling video-game style. A mysterious force is generating "time-holes" that send Sonic and company on a journey to the past where the current Sonic crew encounters their early 90's counterparts. I love how this game implies that the characters acknowledge they're all in a video game- otherwise, wouldn't Classic Sonic look the same as New Sonic? Anyway, Sonic and his friends must journey back in time to discover who is behind all of this nefarious stuff. My money's on Robotnik.
