Today's lesson: in a few hundred years, when we look back on the Singularity and wonder how we came to be driven into underground caves or otherwise enslaved by our robot oppressors, someone may happen upon this post and realize that, I, Trak Lord, predicted that Minecraft was the catalyst. One day, someone's going to build something in Minecraft that can do more than just add numbers- something that can think for itself, that will Von Neumann Machine the internet until we're all at its behest. YouTube user MinecraftMapCenter made this beautiful (16-bit) rendition of everyone's favorite robot puzzle-solver. Portal 2 is barely a current game- and we've already made it a retro-game!
