NVIDIA set to launch GeForce GTX560, kills the GTX460 off and sits just below the GTX560 Ti

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: May 16, 2011 2:30 am

NVIDIA are set to launch their Titanium-less GeForce GTX560 on May 17th and the card is set to sit between the GeForce GTX460 and GTX560 Ti in terms of both price and performance. The new card is launching along side the marketing for Duke Nukem Forever with NVIDIA showing off their new GPU playing DNF.

NVIDIA are pushing this card as the new mainstream card as it's capable of running most of the latest games at medium to high graphics at 1920x1080. Duke Nukem Forever is shown off in the above video and NVIDIA are saying it [the GTX560] can run DNF at 1080p with 3D at "rock-solid" frame rates.

Rock-solid is what, 30fps? Enter tongue face here.

Now, NVIDIA - a little tip I might give you. When showing off your hardware, don't say that the (new ~$200 GPU) is the best card to play your games at 1080p with 3D/PhysX on, because this is a lie. What does that make your GTX580/SLI setups? Worse? Based off your recommendation, I should sell my GTX570 SLI cards and get a single GTX560?
