Early look at Patriot's PBO Alpine Android 2.2 based media player

By: (more) | HT & Movies News | Posted: Jun 1, 2011 12:08 pm

COMPUTEX Taipei 2011 - One of our final stops for the day was with Patriot Memory who had a full range of SSDs and memory on display as you would expect, but one of the big products that caught our eye was the upcoming PBO Alpine media player.

This media player uses Google Android 2.2 OS for its interface system and to be honest it was kinda interesting and exciting for once to see Android mentioned outside of a tablet device for once.

The PZBO Alpine looks to be a pretty standard media player, but with the advantage of running Android apps, so it should be quite interesting when it comes out. We were told it should go on sale late August or early September with an estimated street price of around $120.
