ASUS Transformer has USB host support, PS3, Xbox 360 controllers now work

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jun 6, 2011 12:24 am

Android 3.1 has arrived on the ASUS Transformer and included is USB host support. Not every tablet has this USB support and to slim the market down even more, the Transformers dock includes two USB2.0 ports. What does this mean? It means that the Transformer now has support for virtually any USB gamepad or accessory.

The ASUSUK Twitter account made a point out of this new function of the Transformer by saying:

http://yfrog.com/hsqmlmej Eee Pad Transformer with Android 3.1 supports XBOX 360 & Playstation controllers. UK FOTA Wed am.

This is great for gaming, emulators and such. It also opens new doors for possible Transformer-exclusive gaming.
