Facebook to release Instagram rival app for iPhone
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAFacebook is reportedly working on a second iPhone app that is meant to butt heads with Instagram as another social photo app. It's currently nicknamed Hovertown or WithPeople, the app has the ability to show individual photos and events while exploiting the near 700 million members of Facebook.
Current info shows that the new App would get the same likes as regular Facebook content but would show photos tagged with friend's faces. Currently, the app is "discrete" with Facebook supposedly bringing the idea up of folding it into the main iOS code base. Would Android get an equivalent? This is not yet known.
