ASUS Eee Pad Slider to hit shelves in September?

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Aug 15, 2011 1:09 am

The ASUS Eee Pad Slider has become quite elusive, the Transformer has been enjoying its time on the market against the iPad, I have one myself and love it to bits over my iPad. But the Slider that is soon to become noticed on shelves is looking quite interesting too. A recent report from Notebook Italia saw a new product page and it looks like the 10.1-inch Android QWERTY-sporting tablet might actually see a September launch, in Italy.

The Slider is said to be coming in both 16GB and 32GB flavors and hitting possibly price points of €479 and €599 overseas, whilst US-based customers can expect $400 and $550 models hitting shelves. It's said to be shipping with Android 3.1 with a promised 3.2 upgrade, QWERTY keypad, 1280x800 WXGA display, dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of memory, 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, USB 2.0, mini-HDMI, microSD card reader, WiFi and Bluetooth.
