ATI IGP 320M Mobile Athlon Chipset Review

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Aug 13, 2002 4:21 am

AMDZone takes its first look at the new ATI IGP 320M mobile Athlon chipset with integrated video. It comes in the form of the new Compaq Presario 900 series laptop, and is the mobile equal to the FIC AT31 Fusion IGP 320 powered motherboard.

It has taken a while, but finally AMD fans can have a laptop with quality 3D and 2D graphics with the ATI IGP 320M and the Compaq Presario 900 series. Testing has shown that the new ATI mobile video solution far out distances the next best competitor, the VIA S3 Twister KN133. In addition it also holds up well against the desktop SiS 740 based ECS desknote. ATI has provided best in class 3D performance while also adding great DVD playback support, and continuing their tradition of excellent 2D graphics.
