MSI announce GT780DX, 1080p screen, GTX 570M, SteelSeries keyboard

MSI have announced a new laptop which sports the second generation Intel processors as well as seeing an upgrade in its included GPU. The GT780GX sports an NVIDIA GTX 570M which has over triple the CUDA cores that the previous GX780 notebook had as well as a broader memory bus and more VRAM. In 3DMark Vantage, the GTX 570M scores double the GT 555M's performance.

MSI have also added an SSD by default, which comes in the Intel flavor as well as a storage drive in either 500 or 750GB 7200PM sizes. It also features the Intel Core i7-2630QM processor, a 17.3-inch 1600x900 or 1920x1080 display, a DVD or Blu-ray drive, a 720p webcam and the usual connectivity. What pulls it away from all the other notebooks is that it sports the SteelSeries gaming-orientated keyboard, which includes LED lighting and can be set to various color schemes.

The keyboard offers tactile feedback, an ergonomic "golden triangle" gaming cluster, support for 10 simultaneous key presses and a durable design that should sustain a few rages.
