The Alpenföhn Himalaya CPU cooler is of a large, tower oriented design with some unique attributes that stand out such as the spreading of heat pipes through the aluminum fin stack along with the fin arrangement itself. The cooler weighs in at 880 grams and runs dimensions of 140 x 164 x 55 mm. it uses six nickel-plated copper heatpipes in a U-shape from the base and passing through the fin stack along the length and breadth of the fins.

The choice of fan included is a 140mm "Wing Boost" PWM controllable type that spins between 2300 and 1100RPM, giving 10 to 19.4 dBA rated noise output. The cooler suits all current and previous generation platforms including Intel LGA 775/1155/1156/1366 and AMD Socket AM2(+)/AM3(+)/FM1 processors and is given associated pricing of €59.90.
