Dell working on an ultrabook for a January launch?
With the Ultrabook market really starting to heat up in the laptop realm it's no surprise to hear through the grapevine that apparently Dell is also looking to jump on the Ultrabook bandwagon and produce one of its own. CNet News have said that they have been in touch with industry sources familiar with Dell's plans, and that it's looking like Dell will release its Ultrabook somewhere around the time of CES early into the New Year.

If that launch time is true, it is not likely it will run Ivy Bridge as the first Ivy Bridge ultrabooks aren't slated for release until next spring - it will more than likely pack a 17W Sandy Bridge CPU not unlike the first wave of ultrabooks gracing us this fall. However, there is also a marginal possibility that it could be a paper launch, meaning it would be an Ivy Bridge based Ultrabook coming in at a more aggressive price point, but not being launched in the flesh until the Spring of 2012.
