Steve Jobs has passed away

By: (more) | BREAKING STORY News | Posted: Oct 5, 2011 11:58 pm

The great Steve Jobs has passed away after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer. He was just 56 years old. We at TweakTown dearly mourn his death and would like to offer our condolences to the Jobs family. Jobs was an amazing man, Apple is where they are because of him. Music is where it is because of him. Most technology firms are pushing so much further because of the things Steve did.

Steve pushed and pushed and put a computer into every single dorm room, bedroom and living room. Something Microsoft couldn't wish for - they just wanted it in your office. Years later, he put an Apple product in every bag, pocket and hand thanks to the iPad, iPhone and iPod.

He was a great man, a turtle-neck-wearing technological hero, an inspiration, a visionary. You'll be missed, Steve.
