Today brings confirmation from Samsung and Verizon Wireless that the already well leaked Stratosphere smart phone will make its official debut in the U.S. on the 13th - just a few days away now. The phone is said to come in at $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate after signing a new two-year customer agreement.

Running back over some details of the phone, this Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) running hand set features 4G LTE support and a slide-out (five-row) QWERTY keyboard. It uses Samsung's 1GHz 'Hummingbird' processor, a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen (@ 800 x 480 resolution) and has a rear-facing 5MP camera with LED flash (720p video recording), 1.3MP front-facing camera, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.

Storage wise, it has 4GB built-in and a microSD slot to expand further. For business buyers, the phone also supports enhanced B2B-enabled connectivity services from Cisco, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) and allows for remote device management from Sybase Afaria.
