Samsung's Stratosphere smart phone avail. through Verizon on Oct 13
Today brings confirmation from Samsung and Verizon Wireless that the already well leaked Stratosphere smart phone will make its official debut in the U.S. on the 13th - just a few days away now. The phone is said to come in at $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate after signing a new two-year customer agreement.

Running back over some details of the phone, this Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) running hand set features 4G LTE support and a slide-out (five-row) QWERTY keyboard. It uses Samsung's 1GHz 'Hummingbird' processor, a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen (@ 800 x 480 resolution) and has a rear-facing 5MP camera with LED flash (720p video recording), 1.3MP front-facing camera, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.
Storage wise, it has 4GB built-in and a microSD slot to expand further. For business buyers, the phone also supports enhanced B2B-enabled connectivity services from Cisco, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) and allows for remote device management from Sybase Afaria.
