ASUS Transformer Prime unveiled, quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3, 10-inch, 8.33mm thick

The ASUS man himself, Jonney Shih has within the last few hours unveiled the "next-generation Transformer tablet" at AsiaD. It's the same one that Steve teased just a few hours ago. Jonney however, confirmed everything we need to know.

The Transformer 2 has been dubbed "Transformer Prime", it will sport NVIDIA's Tegra 3 SoC which is a qu ad-core processor, a 10-inch display, mini-HDMI, a 14.5-hour battery, an SD card slot and a top lid that looks pretty much identical to ASUS' new Zenbook line of products. The Transformer was a thickish tablet (I own one myself) but this Transformer Prime is just 8.3mm thick!

Transformer Prime ships with Honeycomb but should bite into the Ice Cream Sandwich before the end of the year or "perhaps earlier" according to Jonney. The official reveal is on November 9 when we should get a bunch of proper info on Transformer Prime, until then, enjoy the below screenshots of the beast itself.
