Nokia has just started to publish the PR1.1 update for their Nokia N9 smartphone (software update version number 20.2011.40-4). The new update is published in waves and your phone will display a notification once it's made available for you.

Feature-wise, the PR1.1 sports NFC support, music controls on the lock screen and the fabulous Swype keyboard. Noise cancellation is included which reduces background noise so that your friends can hear you better, photo and video shooting with color filters is now included with black & white, sepia, vivid, negative and solarize as options. Close apps can now be done with swiping down, which is by default, new indicators for standby screen like charging and calendar are included.

Lastly, the N9 is with PR1.1 is now more powerful at multi-tasking, with improved memory handling. Let us know how you go with the new update!
