SUNNYVALE, CA -- August 21, 2002 --AMD (NYSE: AMD) today celebrates the third anniversary of the award-winning AMD Athlon™ processor by announcing the world's highest-performing processor for desktop PCs, the AMD Athlon XP processor 2600+. AMD also introduced the AMD Athlon XP processor 2400+.
