2TB HDDs delay iMAC shipments by up to 7 weeks
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAApple Insider is reporting that Apple is feeling the HDD shortage. Massive flooding in Thailand caused the HDD industry to hit a brick wall for a few months and things are just now starting to dry out for most component manufactures.
A reader contacted AppleInsider on Friday to note that the estimated shipping times for custom iMacs went up dramatically from their previous time of 1 to 3 days. The shipping estimates apply in the U.S. as well as internationally.
