Dell rollout LGA 2011-based Alienware Aurora desktops, plan to take over the world
Dell's Alienware team have today launched an updated Aurora gaming desktop, which is based on Intel's latest Sandy Bridge-E platform. It is known as model R4 and uses the ALX mid-tower chassis.
It also features a liquid-cooled Core i7-3930K or i7-3960X, up to 32GB of RAM, up to a 2TB hard drive and/or up to a 512GB solid-state drive, and right up to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 GPU or two AMD Radeon HD 6950's in CrossFire.
The new desktop can be specced to handle one or two optical drives, a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio or Titanium Audio card, and of course, runs Windows 7. Alienware's Aurora R3 starts at $2,199 and can be found here.
The case definitely looks mighty fine, wouldn't mind checking out one of these myself just for the case. Very, very swish.
