Facebook for Android now has more daily users than Facebook for iPhone
The Facebook for Android mobile application has passed the Facebook for iPhone app, even though it launched nearly a year later, it has been playing catch-up for a while now. Both apps are developed internally by Facebook, so its not like one team works harder than the other. Facebook for Android has now passed Facebook for iPhone with 58.3 million DAU (Daily Active Users) compared to the iPhone app with 57.4 million DAU , according to the AppData tracking service.
Android devices are growing at a crazy 550,000 activations per day, and Facebook for Android received Timeline for Facebook before the iPhone, but just today the iPhone's Facebook app hit v4.1 which included Timeline access. If we look at MAU (Monthly Active Users) Apple still lead with 99.1 million MAU, Android sits behind with just 85.4 million MAU.
All I can say is, that is a lot of users...
