Abit Serillel SATA News

By: (more) | Storage News | Posted: Aug 24, 2002 3:52 am

Lyle from Abit posted a bit of news in our New Products Forum regarding Abit's new "Serillel" technology. Always expect Abit to come up with the cool new ideas, this is certainly one of them.

Hi, this is Lyle from ABIT. We've just released Serillel, which is a device that lets users connect their current hard disks to the Serial Ports on their MAX 2 motherboard. ABIT has also engineered our Serial ATA to offer Serial ATA RAID. Every motherboard make is offering Serial ATA, but with Serial ATA hard disks many months away and really expensive, ABIT wanted to offer our users immediate Serial ATA experience. When Serial ATA hard disks do appear, we wanted to offer our users more, so we included Serial ATA RAID.
